Alythrin al'Malastai; Priestess of The Sanguine Order of Moon Elves

Moon Elves have always gained their powers from the pale light of the many moons which have always risen and fallen with the seasons. The omens, however, have grown dark and saturnine. The Great Moon has not risen for the first time in an era, bringing tidings of death and destruction. While most Moon Elves have begun fleeing to the higher reaches of the world, seeking the last few rays of reflected light from the rapidly diminishing minor moons, one order has not run in despair.

In ordinary times, the Sanguine Order lives in isolation, shunned by society for its shaded and violent magical arts. However, with the fall of Moonlight, the Sanguine Order has once again reclaimed a position of power in the world. Only through the sacrificial offerings of their own blood can the Sanguine Order restore the balance of Lunar Magick and bring the Great Moon back above the evening horizon. The Sanguine elves have waited thousands of years, watching for the signs in the heavens, biding their time and practicing their arts in preparation for the darkness of the Long Night.

The eve of that Night is upon them. They stand ready to shed their own blood for the sake of the world. Guided by their sacred raven spirit guides, these dark creatures will endure nightly bloodletting to conjure the only forces which can be tapped during the darkness of the Great New Moon. If the world survives, the bloody remnants of the Sanguine Order will return to their isolation and wait for their next call to sacrifice. They live to purge evil from the world with their pain. Dark and enigmatic, these elves are only spoken of in terrified whispers. But, in the end, it is only the Sanguine Order who stands ready for the advent of a new, evil era... The era of Magic Wars.
