“Basically, I'm for anything that gets you through the night - be it prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels.” - Frank Sinatra
Anyone who has struggled with the medical treatments for depression or other mental illnesses will require no further explanation for this image. For all the "advancements" in "low side effect" pharmaceuticals to treat these disorders, there are days when I feel more like a lab animal than a human being. Treatment is often as painful as the ailment. It is difficult to not feel like one is stuck in the middle ages, and I wonder how much the stigma associated with mental illness has stifled pursuit of its effective treatment...

Its kinda shocking to look at, i do not know why but i want to not look at the bottle. The after effects i feel really add to the piece, and the skin is really realistic, the little dimple things do it well.
Wow, you are on a roll girl! It's quite the powerful image as well! I can totally relate to the taking meds concept. Boo! I hate taking meds, they always get stuck when I swallow. hehe Yuck, but they are a necessary evil sometimes. I love that huge prescription bottle. hehe And how in the world would one swallow those giant pills. haha You could throw them in the pool and use them as floats. haha You did a wonderful job posing your character as well as her expression. I really like the grungy texture you overlaid on this one. Nice touch! You have created the perfect atmosphere for this sensitive subject matter. Very well executed my friend! Hugs to you and I hope your having a good week!
LOL. The idea of using the pills as pool floats made me laugh out loud -- something I need to do more of these days. Thank you, as always, for the smile and the comments. You are one in a million!!
hehe, they look just like those floaty things for the pool! haha I tend to get a bit silly sometimes, but it's good for the soul to laugh a lot! weeeeee! Aww, and right back at you sweetie! You always give me a tickle as well with your awesome wit! Yea!
