Greatest Treasures
“The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.”
~Maryanne Williamson
It was nice to look at my dA artist's page today and find myself pleased with all my "newest deviations." Usually, I find myself wincing at one or another, thinking about what I didn't like and what I could have changed. But today I surprised myself and felt only contentment. Maybe it's because I haven't had much time to render -- less quantity, more quality and all that. In any event, it was a nice moment.
I can't believe we're in 2015 -- and that we're almost 1/12th of the way through it already. My twins turned 11 just b

It's been a very sad few weeks. In addition to the recent loss of the amazing Robin Williams, our little DAZ community has also bid farewell to one of our dearest, finest members. Jaderail, mentor to soooo many people on the DAZ forums (and elsewhere) has left us with holes in our hearts -- but a smile in them, also. I've come to the conclusion that I enjoy character studies. The "stories" in my images are more biographical than narrative. But I like that. While they're technically less involved than action scenes or multi-character images with highly complex backgrounds, I find beauty in the simple portrait. With summer here, I've taken on a purely fun project. Some people I m

I took a look at my gallery today. And do you know what I saw? Someone trying hard to express deep meaning in her art. Admirable, for sure, but... When I look at my earlier works, I realized that my inspiration used to just be, well, fun. I've recently started to work so hard at showing the world that Poser art is legitimate, that it seems I've forgotten that it's okay to just CREATE -- for no reason other than it's a lot of fun to do so. I realized I miss rendering "chicks with guns" and "elves in the woods" and "mindless pretty girls." Lol. I miss.
